Organised excursions
Verona
The second Roman city in Italy with a multifaceted history, the capital of opera, Shakespearean love and good wine, Verona is one of the most popular cities in Italy to visit with a knowledgeable guide (approx. 20 km).
Venice
A city of timeless charm with its mysterious “sotoporteghi”, romantic bridges and spacious “campi”. Magically built in the shape of a fish, water is its natural element and the basis of its streets and main artery: the Grand Canal (approx. 120 km).
The Great Dolomites
A day exploring the most beautiful and celebrated peaks of this World Natural Heritage mountain range: Cavalese, Moena, Canazei and Ortisei. The tour passes through the beautiful Fiemme, Fassa and Gardena valleys, overlooked by the imposing Sass Pordoi and the Sella group.
Milan
The economic, financial and fashion capital of Italy, Milan is a pleasant discovery full of artistic beauty and a fascinating combination of tradition and innovation. A stroll through the famous Galleria Manzoni, the marvellous Castello Sforzesco and the imposing Duomo is a pleasant diversion from the unbridled shopping that usually accompanies it (approx. 140 km).
Mantua and Sigurtà Garden Park
A morning dedicated to art and culture including a visit to the astonishing Mantua, the birthplace of Rigoletto, with its Ducal Palace of the Gonzaga lords, its porticoed alleyways and the Palazzo Tè. This is followed by an afternoon at the Parco Giardino Sigurtà, one of the largest and most abundant botanical gardens in Europe, with diverse flowering in every season (approx. 40 km).
Bolzano and Renon
Explore the charming city Bolzano, with its Tyrolean architecture, dotted with lush vegetation and crowned by imposing mountains, including the Renon Plateau, where you can admire the Earth Pyramids (approx. 145 km).
Individual Tours
Autobus hop on - hop Off
A great opportunity to visit the picturesque towns Sirmione, Lazise, Garda and Salò. If you purchase a day ticket, you can freely hop on and off the bus to visit the various villages around the lake.
Valeggio sul Mincio and Borghetto
On the banks of the romantic River Mincio, also accessible by bicycle, lie the towns Valeggio and Borghetto. Both characteristic and picturesque, the former for its famous Bridge over the Mincio and the Visconti Castle, the latter for being the favourite location for the bride and groom to pose on their wedding day! A must is to end the visit by tasting a fabulous local dish: the famed Tortellini di Valeggio.
Monte Baldo Cable Car
Driving along the Gardesana Orientale is a pleasure one should experience at least once in a lifetime! The panoramic cable car departs from Malcesine (which can only be reached by this road) and arrives at the foot of Monte Baldo. It is all glass and turns on itself. It was recently restored and allows you to admire, perhaps the most beautiful view of the entire lake from a height of 2000 metres.
Castellaro Lagusello and the wineries in Custoza and Laguna
By car, but even better by bicycle, we would recommend a visit to the not too distant ancient village Castellaro Lagusello. Moreover, why not a visit to the wineries located on the morainic hills that produce two of the area's most renowned wines: Bianco di Custoza and Lugana.
The Vittoriale and the André Heller Botanical Garden
In Gardone Riviera, you can go and rediscover a piece of Italian history. Gabriele D'Annunzio lived here, in his magnificent Vittoriale villa, now a museum. You can reach the museum entrance via the tourist train directly from the port. The famous André Heller Botanical Garden is also located in Gardone.
Extreme Shopping
In the surroundings of Peschiera del Garda, there are numerous shopping centres with shopping bargains to be had: the Grande Mela and Porte dell'Adige in Bussolengo, the Leone in Desenzano, the Mantova Outlet in Mantua and, finally, the Oriocenter in Bergamo.
We would also like to point out...
The Pro Loco entities of the various villages organise collective outings every week, on foot or by bicycle, some of which are free of charge, others require a small contribution. These excursions help to promote the smaller places of interest in the area.
